Swab Test

With the the Circuit Breaker coming to an end, everyone is concerned that the risk of community transmission may increase. We received news that MOH is expanding COVID-19 testing to a wider pool of healthcare workers including Blossom Seeds staff, given we are caring for the seniors.

As we shared the news with the staff, there were concerns that it may hurt. Some of their family members have to make declaration and put their plans on hold while waiting for the results. It was challenging to work out the appointment dates while maintaining the split teams and still ensuring that there is sufficient manpower to carry on the service, without the mixing the teams.

Fortunately, the results came very fast and we were relieved with the good news. The laboratory had not detected presence of COVID (2019-nCoV PCR) (i.e. negative) from the samples received from Blossom Seeds. Very grateful to the team for being so supportive despite all the inconveniences in arranging the appointment dates. Many thanks also to the team at Agency for Integrated Care who helped to coordinate the testing over the different locations and the different groups.

Greatly appreciative of the planning and coordination that went behind the scene to ensure that the community remains safe.
