Highlights

While going out is a simple routine for many of us, it is a challenge for our vulnerable seniors. It is extremely gratifying to see them making an effort to complete the 1.4km albeit many pauses at the various bus stops, doing their best to complete the walk with the others. Others are accompanied by volunteers and family on their wheelchair, enjoying the morning sun. A couple of our interest groups seniors surprised the participants with their impromptu performances to celebrate Active and Happy Living.

As participants reached the finish line, lion dance welcome the participants. Together with our partners, Minister Ong and Dr Lim rang the GONG to symbolise the launch of the carnival. Our seniors take to the stage with their dancing and singing after the many rounds of practices. The funds raised during the walk would go a long way in supporting our vulnerable and active seniors to lead an active and purposeful golden years.
