A Compassionate Journey Made Possible 2021
For the second year running, Blossom Seeds held our Flag Day online amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, to raise funds for our Medical Escort & Transport Service (MET).
Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Health & Adviser to Sembawang GROs graced the occasion and Ms MP Mariam Jaafar, Adviser for Woodland GROs joined us as special guest.
This is also the first time we are receiving guests after the renovation and we are pleased to welcome our partners from BW Monastery, Assyafaah Mosque, Darul Makmur Mosque, Masjid Petempatan Melayu Sembawang, Masjid Yusof Ishak, Holy Tree Sri Balasubramaniar Temple and Covenant Evangelical Free Church, Canberra Secondary School, People’s Association & Active.Sg to our centre.
Our services continue throughout the pandemic to ensure that the seniors continue to seek their medical consultation. We are grateful to Mr Alex Ong and Ms Irene Lee who were present for the generous sponsorship of the third bus.
The highlights of the event was the singing “Tian Mi Mi” by Minister Ong and Ms Mariam. Together with our distinguished partners, supporting agencies, volunteers and beneficiaries, we extend our appreciation to all the Health Care Workers who have been putting in the long hours over the last two year in the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic
Led by our youth volunteer from Youth Corps Singapore & Active.Sg, all wore Penguin masks and dance to the tune to remind us the importance of hand hygiene. The programme also showcases our home bound seniors onboarding the digital platforms. We also have youths from SMU sharing about the intergenerational programmes & partners providing videos of their participations.
This fundraising campaign will end on 31 January 2022. Grateful to all partners, donors and volunteers for making our vulnerable seniors possible during this pandemic.
